A story about the art and science of wood and water …
Once upon a time in the future, The C Day will come. In the meantime, I was invited to a related C day on Friday, September 14th …
Cityscape
My invitation was to the official opening ceremony of Cityscape by Arne Quinze.
Including The Party, of course!
Arne is a renowned Belgian artist and artistic director of the design company Quinze and Milan. The design of Cyres Café is in his hands.
Cityscape is a WOW Project. A gigantic sculpture of tangled wood.
It will stand for one year on the Prowinko building site, previously wasteland in front of the Hilton hotel. Situated on Avenue de la Toison d’Or, in the heart of Brussels’ luxury district.
Though I’d enjoyed the growth of Cityscape in a wonderful picture story, the moment I saw it for real it made me Gasp! I trust that the Cyres Café experience will inspire the same reaction in you.
Arne Quinze: “Cityscape reflects a moment frozen in time, an instant. This installation, open to all who wish to discover it, finds its meaning in the dynamic generated through interaction with its environment, the pattern of sunlight touching it, the coming and going of curious passers by.
Cityscape is for me a form of communication, a place, if you like, of introspection, silence and interaction. Because of its monumental size - 40 metres long, 25 metres wide and 18 metres high - it will not only be unmistakeable and impossible to ignore, but will also absorb us.”
I was deliciously absorbed. Thrilled to be invited to the inauguration of a project of this magnitude.
Inspired magnificent imaginings of the Cyres Café opening to come.
I feel this new work of art to be freeing and ‘outside of the box’. Art with a twist. Spectacular sculpture on 33 stilts. Hovering 5 metres above the ground, looking like something out of this world, yet so fitting floating in the urban landscape. Expressing the movement and speed of a hectic neighbourhood. Elegant, and, untamed. Aerodynamic and organic. Frenetic flow. Modelled madness. A masterpiece of intuition and improvisation.
Bursting at the seams with beams, it inspired my smile to beam out to it. The long and the short of it is, it’s stimulated my wild imagination without limit. Looking up at the crystal canopy, the crazy creative criss-cross craftwork, gave me wings.
It is my wish that Cyres Café partners in creating more such exceptional art installations.
I was elated to meet up with Friends of Cyres Café, including the lovely Diane, a leading light in The Cyres Story (you’ll hear more about magical Diane in the future).
Arne was his usual modest self (rather than a designer of ego, that I have occasionally experienced in others of creative genius). I like modesty. I also prefer to not always be in the public eye and to be true to my own path no matter what (though I realise that for some situations, to shift mass perspective, you do need to get into the picture more). I also appreciate Arne for his straightforward honesty and humility; it could be said that he has much to brag about, yet there is no bragging.
The opening ceremony began at 9pm. It was presided by the Minister-President of the Brussels Region Charles Picque and his Minister of Economical Affairs, Benoit Cerexhe.
As I entered the party tent, I felt that this event would be a memorable experience, one of the parties of the year.
I was introduced to a pioneer that I have been expecting to meet, the scientist and revolutionary, Ayhan Doyuk. The Alchemist of Water.
Ayhan is another visionary, who is changing the world.
I savored every moment of a beautiful and fascinating conversation with him.
It felt good to be in the presence of one who thinks with their heart and takes action from a place of love. One who has aligned himself with the contribution that he will make to a better world for all.
Ayhan had again travelled from Turkey to Belgium, and on Thursday, September 13th, he had opened a cocktail bar to demonstrate a revolutionary mix, which was poured over the Cityscape that day, to make it fireproof. Flame Save is a new product consisting of 90% water, but no ordinary water. It treats wood, turning it totally fireproof.
Ayhan is one of the top authorities in the world on water.
There is more, much more, to water than you might imagine.
Since 1986, Ayhan has been spreading the message of a miracle. Miracle water.
Ayhan has developed a special kind of water, that he has demonstrated in many countries, on TV and other media, to the United Nations, and so on. This water can save the world from pollution and poisoning.
Imagine. 1,000,000 litres of polluted, poisonous water, including the most dangerous and toxic chemicals. Pour just 1 litre of the miracle water into that and within 24 hours that water is clean and safe to swim in, to re-introduce fish and other wildlife, etc.
Not fantasy, fact. Repeatedly demonstrated, and proven.
I question why the world does not know of and embrace this miracle.
Like Cyres Cafe, Ayhan is now working with Arne. Ayhan, with his water, is able to protect Arnes’s pieces of art made out of wood from any possibility of fire. Once the art is sprinkled with the water, it is protected for a very long time.
Last week, Ayhan again demonstrated the power of his water. Television and press were present. Two T-shirts were each immersed in gasoline. Then, one was sprinkled with the miracle water, the other one with normal water.
Both T-shirts were burned at more than 1,000 degrees celsius. After the burning, the T-shirt sprinkled with the miracle water was completely intact. None of it was destroyed. Even the rubber lettering was all there. Its color was still perfect, like the results shown in an advertisement for washing powder. The other T-shirt was completely destroyed. It shocked many of the people present. It made Cyres hearts smile.
The miracle water gifts new hope. We are on the brink of bringing out into the open more and more new technology than can revolutionize all aspects of life as we now know it. Cyres Café will fulfill its purpose as a pioneer in bringing about a better world for the highest good for all concerned.
Sincerely yours
Cris
