I embarked further into a new chapter of my CYRES story, upon a new adventure beyond my wildest imaginings, a three-day workshop with Dr. Eric Pearl. Grounded in the brilliant sun-shine of Barcelona. Becoming a Reconnective Healing Practitioner. To play larger in life. To shine the light brighter and beyond. To be what I really am. To own my ability to heal and to be a master. To reconnect. As Marianne Williamson said:
‘You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.’

The Reconnection seminar-event-experience-happening that I attended, officially began with an Introductory Seminar called The Essence of Healing™.

I was joyfully and eagerly anticipating a presentation and healing demonstration by Dr. Pearl, the founder of the phrase Reconnective Healing. New teachings from a deeper body of work and philosophy on the universal laws and principles of healing, called Light & Information. As you will come to see, I experienced much much MUCH more!

Head’s tingling. Hands tingling. Heart’s tingling.

The seminar time for this Friday evening lecture was 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.
(time flew!)

This, and the whole seminar weekend, was held at the magnificent AC Hotel, next to the coast in beautiful Barcelona, Spain.

Friday October 11th - Sunday October 13th. Three days of WOW!

With 300+ people in attendance, I easily had a seat on the front row, as was my preference and expectancy.

Being, so in the flow!

The Friday evening session is also open to people not attending the weekend seminar. The massive event room was comfortably packed.

I watched as Teaching Assistants wrote out notices on three stands, translations in Spanish, English, and French:

The Essence Lecture was introduced by The Delight that is Doug De Vito.

Very uplifting and inspirational.

Doug De Vito, BSChE, MBA, is the Head of Planning for The Reconnection and has the privilege and honor of helping to bring this work forward to the planet along with Eric Pearl. With a very traditional educational background in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing, he thought he would be the last person to be a part of teaching and bringing this work forward. However that was before this work “found him”.

Doug joined The Reconnection in 2002, after working for 13 years in marketing and business development for Fortune 100 companies such as Procter & Gamble, AT&T and Walt Disney. During most of his career, Doug helped to create, “brand” and develop new businesses. He also has helped many new organizations “take root” and grow with a clear focus on their mission. All this changed, when one day his CEO walked into his office on a Friday and shut down his division. The next day, Doug met Eric and was immediately “struck” by a passion and curiosity to explore this work.

Since joining the teaching team in 2002, Doug has been critical in helping to expand and shape the Reconnection’s mission. Along the way, he discovered a deep passion for this healing work and is continuously marveled at the power & grace with which it unfolds in our lives. He established the first practitioner support programs and also created, taught and leads the Reconnection Teacher Development and Practitioner Mentoring Programs. More recently, Doug has been leading The Reconnection’s efforts to research this amazing new work, with the collaboration of Dr. William Tiller, Dr. Gary Schwartz, the University of Arizona and others.

Doug has also been one of the primary instructors in teaching hundreds of seminars with Eric, over the past 5 years. In fact, Doug is the first person selected by Dr. Pearl to teach a Reconnection Level III seminar.

It is with great honor and a sense of gratitude that Doug continues to share the light and information of The Reconnection with the planet. He invites you to find your passion in this work and to step forward, sharing it in your own communities.

Prior to beginning his professional career, Doug graduated from the 3/2 Honors Program at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received both a Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA in 5 years.

Doug said, that each person in the audience would walk out of that evening as a transformed person. I know that, personally, to be true.

Doug is a scientist, as I said, a chemical engineer by training. With his focus on science as well as spirituality, Doug talked about the newest research information on The Reconnection, including interesting results from studies of the Level I/II Reconnective Healing Seminars (per the one I was attending) conducted by William Tiller, PhD. He shared some new research related to how the scientific community is beginning to recognize just how powerful and unique this work is. Insights into the recognition of how the worlds of Science and Spirituality are becoming one.

Dr. William Tiller, co-star of the film What the Bleep!? (where I first heard of him), author of Some Science Adventures with Real Magic, Conscious Acts of Creation: The Emergence of a New Physics, Science and Human Transformation: Subtle Energies, Intentionality and Consciousness, and author of more than one hundred published studies, has reported his findings on what occurs energetically during the seminar experience as people begin to learn how to carry these new frequencies of healing. This research, and other recent findings, by Dr. Tiller and others, are the science supporting The Reconnection.

Dr. William Tiller is examining the field effect in a room where Reconnective Healing is happening, such as during a seminar. The field becomes super-charged and there is a quantum shift of energy. Doug told us that we were now soaking in this field. He said, in this field there’s a huge effective energy increase. The physics of the room change. The room becomes charged as if the temperature went up by 300 degrees centigrade.

He said that being there was about becoming a master of Reconnective Healing.

Our hands and beingness would be attuned to accept this all-inclusive healing spectrum, simply by being there.

Doug talked about the experience as three levels of consciousness coming together, the client, the practitioner, and Source / God / The Universe / Love / whatever name you prefer.

He stated that Reconnective Healing reconnects us to the fullness of the universe as it reconnects us to the fullness of our beings and of who we are.

For the practitioner, it is primarily about play, feel, and observing. Accessing new frequencies. Taking us all to another level, the people in the room, and, the people on the planet.

In the next segment, we were introduced to a world-class group of experienced Reconnection practitioners. One by one, each of them went on stage and briefly introduced themselves. Eight women, from Quebec, Sydney, Istanbul, Oslo, Germany, the U.S., and Argentina. Each one a Certified Practitioner Mentor and Teaching Assistant, assisting Dr Pearl at seminars around the world. You could sense their commitment to the work and expanding its reach.

Doug informed us that we too could learn and receive skill, artistry, and mastery.

He talked about healing, transformation, and evolution with regards to the change that is happening on the planet. Revealing the truths about the power and grace of the fully-comprehensive Reconnective Healing spectrum, and how it takes us beyond energy healing and allows us to transcend all forms of “energy” and “technique” healing.

Then, Doug discussed the first page (of three) of an A4 handout that we were given at the beginning of the seminar.

The first page is titled,

THE SIX PHRASES

We are here to tell you to continue doing what you are doing.
What you are doing is bringing light and information onto the planet.
What you are doing is reconnecting strands.
What you are doing is reconnecting strings.
You must know that you are a master.
We’ve come because of your reputation.

The six phrases that were unconsciously repeated by various patients when they were with Dr Pearl.

Doug asked us, are there any parts of this information that resonate with you, that make sense to you? Does anything seem right?

Then he said, we are experiencing a dimensional shift, and talked about this new ability that I would receive this weekend and beyond.

Our bodies have a built in hardware to work with this information and all you need is a spark. Reading the book, receiving Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection (which I had done in England before I attended the seminar in Spain), and then being at this seminar were all sparks of increasing intensity for me. Sitting in that room we were receiving a download of light and information that would continue beyond that room. Our hardware was being given the software of unlimited possibility.

People around the world are connecting to this new level of frequency.

There’s something very real about this work. Powerful. Doug said, just explore it.

Communicating with great clarity, he talked about the incredibly intelligent and graceful nature of this work.

He was ultra-focused, and, smiled much, and I appreciated that.

Doug told us that there are 31,000 practitioners, aged 8 to 88, in 57 countries.

This is something that can be shared with every living thing on the planet. It is energy, light and information.

Walk into a situation and play and feel with it, we were advised.

Doug recalled an experience, which is in Dr Pearl’s debut book ‘The Reconnection’, when Dr Pearl went to a seminar of Deepak Chopra and Deepak gave him two words of advice that mean so much to him, “remain childlike”. We would hear those two words more times throughout the weekend. I find them enchanting. They make me smile so.

The evening was proving to exceed my expectancy (which was high!).

A high energy evening expanding my being was unfolding.

Life was taking on a whole new meaning, and there was greater depth and dimension to it all.

I was fully engaged in the experience and it was changing me. I could feel it.

It was an amazing listening experience. In the beauty of the present moment.

The ingredients of pure love.

Felt it through my cells, through my skin, through the palms of my hands, through my solar plexus, through my heart, through my emotions, through my body, …

You might have to reconsider everything you’ve seen and heard up until now about conventional and alternative healing. These “new” frequencies of healing transcend “technique” entirely and bring you to levels beyond those previously accessible to anyone, anywhere. This is not Reiki, Johrei or Qi Gong… or any healing “technique” you’ve encountered. This is beyond technique.

In wonder, I wondered how Cyres Cafe could contribute to spreading this light and information around the world to help as many people as possible.

I saw us communicating this philosophy in Cyres Centres on-line and on-world. Helping to heal.

After a brilliant opening from Doug De Vito, the moment arrived for him to introduce Dr Pearl.
