A man went to trim his hair NS beard. رجل ذهب الى تقليم شعره اللحيه م. As always happens, he and the barber chatted about this and that, until - commenting on a newspaper article about street kids - the barber stated: وكما يحدث دائما ، وقال انه الحلاق مدردش عن هذه وتلك ، حتى -- تعليقا على مقالة منشورة في احدى الصحف عن اطفال الشوارع -- الحلاق :
- As you can see, this tragedy shows that God doesn’t exist. -- وكما ترون ، هذه الماساه يدل على ان الله غير موجود.
- How? -- كيف؟
- Don’t you read the papers? -- لا تقرأ الاوراق؟ So many people suffer, abandoned children, there’s so much crime. ويعاني العديد من الناس ، والاطفال المهجورين ، وهناك الكثير من الجرائم. If God existed, there wouldn’t be so much suffering. اذا كان الله موجودا ، لن تكون هناك الكثير من المعاناة.
The customer thought for a moment, but his haircut was nearly finished, and he decided not to prolong the conversation. العميل فكر لحظة ، لكنه كان اوشك على الانتهاء من حلاقة ، وقرر عدم اطالة الحديث. They returned to gentler topics, the job was done, the customer paid and left. وعادوا الى المواضيع الطف ، وكان عمله الوظيفي ، ويدفع الزبون اليسار.
However, the first thing he saw was a tramp, with several days of beard, and long tangled hair. ومع ذلك ، فان اول ما شاهده كان الصعلوك ، مع عدة ايام من اللحيه ، والشعر الطويل متشابكه. Immediately, he returned to the barber’s shop and said to the man who had served him: على الفور ، وعاد الى الحلاق وقال متجر إلى رجل من خدم له :
- You know something? -- انت تعرف شيئا؟ Barbers don’t exist. الحلاقون لا وجود لها.
- What do you mean, don’t exist? -- ماذا تعني ، لا وجود لها؟ I’m here, and I’ma barber. انا هنا ، وانا حلاق.
- They don’t exist! -- لم تكن موجودة! - insisted the man. -- اصر الرجل. - Because if they did, there wouldn’t be people with such longs beards and such tangled hair as I’ve just witnessed up on the corner. -- لانهم اذا كانوا لا ، لن تكون هناك مع شعب يتوق الى مثل هذه اللحى ومتشابكه مثل هذا الشعر لقد قمت للتو وكما شهد على الابواب.
- I can guarantee that barbers do exist. -- انا لا يمكن ضمان أن الحلاقين موجودة. But that man has never come in here. ولكن هذا الرجل لم يأتي هنا.
- Exactly! -- بالضبط! So, in answer to your question, God exists, too. ذلك ، في الاجابه على سؤالك ، والله موجود ، ايضا. It just so happens that people don’t go to Him. ولذلك يحدث فقط ان الناس لا يذهبون اليه. If they did, they would be more giving, and there wouldn’t be so much misery in the world. اذا كانوا قد فعلوا ذلك ، من شأنه ان يكون اكثر منحه اياها ، ولن تكون هناك الكثير من البؤس في العالم.
