Talking of wonder and light … Getting, with grace and ease, up to date with all the delicious emails, we received ‘a poem for your opening’, from Jenni, bright and early on the morning of Tuesday, the 19th (the date of the opening of Cyres Cafe Antwerp, “gateway into eternal sunshine”) … greeted by smiling faces:
this morning, my waking thought was for your opening….even though I’m not there in body, I am in spirit and what follows flowed spontaneously from my morning hand as I imagined you all.
Stars collide in hearts united,
a gateway into eternal sunshine,
mist and myth and the poetry of dreamers bedrape your gatherers
in a robe of rainbow hues,
Shared purpose reflected in smiling faces
and soft touch in minds and souls meeting,
stand together in precious inspiration.
Warm air, warm breath,
talk of wonder and light,
music of chinking glasses,
drinking toasts, fingers nudging and hands lifted in a salute to peace and joy.

A feeling I associate with being natural and childlike.
“robe of rainbow hues” is real. At points through the morning, the sun kisses the floor of The Hallway and The Cafe with rainbows. The walls of glass grace us with these miracles of light.
Stand in the light and wear it well.
Yes, in Cyres, we live, really live, on purpose.
The Caring Cyres Cafe, as Sue calls it, is all round all about sharing.
Many comments received since Tuesday about “minds and souls meeting”. People have found the place they’ve been looking for. A home-feeling in which they feel comfortable, safe, accepted, and more.
