The following was taken from “The Nature of Reality” A Seth Book by Jane Roberts.
Seth tells us that the Christ entity was too great to be contained in any one man, or for that matter in any one time, so the man we think of as Christ was not crucified , nor was the idea of self-sacrifice involved. The Christ entity desired to be born in space and time, to straddle creaturehood in order to serve as a leader, and to translate certain truths in physical terms.
In a certain way the Christ personality was a manifestation of the evolution of consciousness. Christ was the symbol of man’s emerging consciousness, holding within himself the knowledge of humankind’s potential, his message was one of affirmation and always stressed love.
The Christ consciousness was not isolated, it gave birth to all religions, representing the spiritual side of humankind’s evolution. The idea-frameworks of psychic and mental life are far more important than the physical aspects as the species grows and changes. So what is Christ Consciousness? It is the knowing that we are part of All That Is and that we form our own reality. CYRES.
