Oh- what a question! I am feeling compelled to answer, but may end with another question.
I (being the “me” that I am) am hopelessly, positively addicted to making sure that each and every singular human being that I can POSSIBLY come in contact with (be it internet- or within my physical “line-of-sight”) KNOWS (it is their choice to believe it, or not!) that I happen to value their very presence.. and that I appreciate those positive energies they cast out into this universe.. making this a nicer, kinder, happier place for all of humanity. Since the one who posted this question so thoughtfully added an (s) to the word.. “addiction”.. I hasten to add another. Of a positive addiction that I have, I mean. BOOKS.. and MUSIC. There. I “lumped” both of those together because I “feel” so grateful that these wonders of human creation exist for people to enjoy. I admire with every fiber of my being literature and music.. as these things simply help my heart and soul soar beyond infinity.

I don’t know if I can lay claim to the phrase, “literature is art in the written form”, or not, but that is how I feel about books as well. And, movies are art in the moving form as is dance and music is art in the soul form. I think I could just go on and on. For once starting I am getting the feeling that they are all on a continuum one form of art melding into the other. Movies make us cry in both happiness and sadness, music moves the soul to absorb and feel it and become one with it, and can also make us laugh or cry or feel intensely. I just watched “Phenomon” last night and when one of the characters started singing a Diana Ross song it made me close my eyes and meld with it. WOW! And gardening is the art of reuniting with the earth. For me, it’s all about self expression and sharing. Hmmmmm. Positive addictions……………………….
