Πλήρης μοναξιά

Οι δημοσιογράφοι έχουν τελειώσει όλες τις συνεντεύξεις, οι εκδότες όλοι έχουν πάρει το τραίνο πίσω στη Ζυρίχη, οι φίλοι που είχα το γεύμα με να έχει όλων στο σπίτι, και βγαίνω για έναν περίπατο στη Γενεύη. Είναι ένα εξαιρετικά ευχάριστο βράδυ, οι οδοί εγκαταλείπονται και τους φραγμούς και τα εστιατόρια που γεμίζουν με τη ζωή, όλα φαίνονται απολύτως ήρεμους, στη διαταγή, αρκετά, και έπειτα ξαφνικά…

Αντανακλάσεις του πολεμιστή του φωτός

Ατέλειες και ιδιότητες

Ένας πολεμιστής του φωτός ξέρει τις ατέλειές του. Αλλά ξέρει επίσης τις ιδιότητές του.
Μερικοί από τους συντρόφους του παραπονιούνται όλη την ώρα: «άλλοι έχουν περισσότερες πιθανότητες από έχουμε.»
Μπορούν να είναι σωστοί, αλλά ένας πολεμιστής δεν αφήνει που τον παραλύουν, και προσπαθεί να κάνει των περισσότερων από τις αρετές του.
Ξέρει ότι η δύναμη του gazelle είναι η δυνατότητα των ποδιών της. Η δύναμη seagull βρίσκεται σε βέβαιό της στοχεύει στο χτύπημα των ψαριών. Έχει μάθει ότι μια τίγρη είναι άφοβη του hyena επειδή γνωρίζει τη δύναμή του.
Ένας πολεμιστής επιδιώκει να ξέρει σε τι μπορεί να στηριχθεί. Ελέγχει πάντα τον εξοπλισμό του, που αποτελείται από τρία πράγματα: πίστη, ελπίδα και αγάπη.
Εάν αυτά τα τρία είναι παρόντα, δεν διστάζει να προωθήσει.

Πίστη χωρίς φόβο

Ο πολεμιστής του φωτός θεωρεί. Ακριβώς όπως τα παιδιά θεωρήστε.
Επειδή πιστεύει στα θαύματα, τα θαύματα αρχίζουν να συμβαίνουν. Επειδή είναι βέβαιος ότι η σκέψη του μπορεί να αλλάξει τη ζωή του, η ζωή του αρχίζει να αλλάζει. Επειδή είναι βέβαιος ότι θα βρεί την αγάπη, αυτή η αγάπη εμφανίζεται.
Από καιρό σε καιρό είναι απογοητευμένος. Μερικές φορές παίρνει βλαμμένος.
Και έπειτα ακούει τα σχόλια όπως: «εκείνου του συνεργάτη τόσο αφελούς!»
Αλλά ο πολεμιστής ξέρει ότι αξίζει όλοι. Για κάθε ήττα μετρά δύο νίκες στην εύνοιά του.
Όλοι εκείνοι που θεωρούν ξέρουν αυτό.

Tales of Mother Nature

The lion and the cats

A lion came across a group of cats having a chat. “I’m going to devour them,” he thought.
But then an odd feeling of calm came over him. And he decided to sit down with them and pay attention to what they were saying.
- Good God! - said one of the cats, without noticing the lion’s presence. - We have prayed all afternoon! We asked for the skies to rain mice on us!
- And so far nothing has happened! - said another. - I wonder if the Lord really exists.
The skies remained mute. And the cats lost their faith.
The lion rose and went on his way, thinking: “funny how things are. I was going to kill those animals, but God stopped me. And even so, they stopped believing in divine grace. They were so worried about what was missing that they did not even notice the protection they were given.”

I think that Pamela’s list reaches far beyond this new mechanism called “social enterprise” and can be applied to many of our everyday activities:

Keeping open to love

There are moments when we would like very much to help someone we love deeply and we just can’t seem to do a thing. Either circumstances prevent us from drawing closer or else the person has shut off to any gesture of solidarity and support.
So, all we have left is love. In those moments when everything is useless, we can still love - without expecting anything in return, any exchanges or thanks.
If we can manage to act in this way, the energy of love begins to transform the universe around us. When this energy appears, you always perform your work successfully.

Our Lady’s juggler

A medieval legend tells us that in the country we know today as Austria the Burkhard family – a man, a woman and a child – used to amuse people at Christmas parties by reciting poetry, singing ancient troubadour ballads, and juggling.
