A friend of mine called last night and it was obvious that she was very upset. Um amigo do meu chamado ontem à noite e era evidente que ela estava muito perturbado. She had recently broken her wrist and told me that her team leader at work was trying to get her fired for missing work. Ela tinha quebrado recentemente o seu punho e disse-me que a sua equipa dirigente no trabalho estava tentando obter seu disparou para faltar trabalho. Apparently her team leader had spoken with several other people concerned (human resources, personnel, etc…) and, for whatever reason, she had convinced them that my friend just shouldn’t come back to work. Aparentemente sua equipa dirigente tinha falado com várias outras pessoas em questão (recursos humanos, pessoal, etc…) e, por qualquer motivo, ela tinha-os convencido de que o meu amigo só não deve voltar ao trabalho. My friend didn’t think she was being treated fairly, and called to ask if I knew if it was legal for them to treat her that way; after all, all she wanted was to meet with the head of human resources to discuss how soon she could return to her job after breaking her wrist. Meu amigo, não acho que ela estava a ser tratados equitativamente, e chamou para perguntar se eu sabia se era legal para se tratar dela dessa forma; afinal, tudo que ela queria era encontrar-se com o chefe de recursos humanos para discutir como em breve Ela poderia regressar ao seu trabalho após quebrar seu pulso.

We make our debut in this body on this blue planet, bare, blank, brilliant, and more often than not, bawling … because someone has smacked our butt! Nós fazemos a nossa estréia neste órgão sobre este planeta azul, nu, branco, brilhante, e mais frequentemente do que não, porque alguém tem bawling… smacked nosso rabo! Does that still happen?! Diz ainda que aconteceria?! I’ve only been in a delivery room - for babies, that is (multiple times for giving birth to projects) - once … and I was the one being smacked! We arrive and know nothing about where we’ve been and nothing about where we’ve come to and nothing about where we’re going to. Chegamos e nada sabem sobre o local em que temos sido, e nada sobre o local em que temos vindo a nada e sobre onde estamos indo para.

We are a pure blank canvas. Somos uma tela em branco puro. A manifesting and allowing super-structure! Um manifestando e permitindo super-estrutura!

And then, before we have a chance to catch a breath, people start painting all over us, their idea of what we must know and how we should live our life, and they never stop until we leave this planet … unless! E então, antes de ter a chance de recuperar o ar, as pessoas começarem a pintura toda sobre nós, a sua ideia de que é preciso saber e como devemos viver nossa vida, e eles nunca parar enquanto não deixar este planeta… salvo!

They paint resistance all over us unless we stop it and give ourselves space to breathe. Eles pintam resistência durante todos nós, a menos que interrompê-la e dar-nos espaço para respirar.

There’s always someone determined to make an impression on us, so I call them the Impressionists! Há sempre alguém determinado a fazer uma impressão em nós, por isso, chamar-lhes os impressionistas!

We are taught about who we are. Estamos ensinado sobre quem somos. Defined this way and that, by culture, race, tradition, all from way back when.
