`Ο τύπος πεποίθησης» είναι για το πώς οι άνθρωποι σε όλες τις ηλικίες, και σε όλους τους διαφορετικούς πολιτισμούς, έχουν εργαστεί με την προσευχή για να επηρεάσουν τη ζωή τους προς το καλύτερο. Είναι για τη δύναμη της προσευχής να θεραπευθεί και να βιωθεί μια καλύτερη ζωή.

Το βιβλίο μιλά για την αποτελεσματική προσευχή, πώς λειτουργεί και πώς εργαζόμαστε με μια δύναμη που είναι μεγαλύτερη από το εγώ μας selves.

Αυτό το έτος, χειροποίητες 70 κάρτες Χριστουγέννων Ι (που εμπνέονται για να παρουσιάσουν διπλό Γ εδώ για το πλήθος καφέδων!!), μερικοί για τους συγγενείς, συνήθως για το προσωπικό όπου εργάζομαι.

Συνήθως εσωκλείω κάτι επιπλέον στο φάκελο. Αυτό το έτος είναι ψεκάζει λίγου χρυσού και ασημένιου ταράνδου, ο οποίος όταν ανοίγουν την κάρτα θα πέσει έξω *giggling* ενδεχομένως (η πρόθεση smiley μου), εμφανιμένος ΝΑ ΠΗΔΑ από την κάρτα! Παράδοση της ΧΑΡΑΣ!!!!

It makes everyone laugh and I love watching their faces when they open the cards.

In the office, everyone is sticking the little reindeer around the edge of their computor screens. So they dance and prance round our serious work, inspiring a light-hearted feeling. Jill keeps the little inserts I include each time and brings them out each year, so she now has a fabulous collection.

For the tags for office presents, I got some wrapping paper, cut out tree patterns from the paper and stuck them on Cream Coloured card. I stitched on red beads as baubles. They look really nice. Looking at the colors and shapes gifts me a nice warm feeling!

We have a little tree that Mae has decorated. She brought in her Fairy that usually sits atop her tree at home. It’s quite big compared to our tree, and that’s the beauty of it, it does not matter!

Mae has also brought in chocolate decorations to hang on the tree. Hope the low winter sun does not melt them; as we have our tree in the bay window!

We have our cards hanging around the walls on string and I think it looks lovely and friendly when people come in to the office.

This last week before Christmas, we take turns at bringing in festive food. Today Meg has brought in pitta bread and home-made beetroot dip. Also home-made fresh cranberry muffins. A little taste of Heaven on a plate! I wish I could share them now with guests in Cyres Cafe!

What in your life are you grateful for now?

Throughout the year, I make cards to give at Christmas time.

Really enjoying giving them now.

I feel that the time spent in making them is the very essence of giving.

Giving of my time to make a gift of a handmade card says, I am grateful to know you and am thankful for the opportunity to give you this greeting.

Acceptance of my greeting is acceptance of the joyous feelings I happily send at this festive time of year to you and your loved ones.

Imagine my surprise when an email arrived in every department where I work, suggesting that we do not send Christmas cards, and instead, we donate to the charity we usually support. We have other fund raising events throughout the year to support Children in Need (I am in the U.K.).

This was quickly followed by emails from individuals who sent a single Greetings message to everyone.

Donating to charity is lovely and to be encouraged and expanded, and, I wonder whether giving a general email instead of, rather than as well as, will lose some of the warmth of giving and receiving?

Will I be sending cards, with heartfelt love and appreciation, this year and next year?

My inner warm glow says “YES!”.

I’ve been beaming the Cyres spotlight on Larry Hochman this week, ever since he sent Cyres Cafe a Friend Request at MySpace.

Well yesterday evening, Lydia, out of the blue, said, Larry will also be in my book!

I know Cris is going to be in Lydia’s book of course … I didn’t know Larry is in it too!
