Yesterday evening, WOW-Wednesday, I enjoyed a fascinating and exciting discussion with Jan Opdekamp, projectleader with Quinze & Milan.
Counterculture Creatives Quinze & Milan are the designers of the first Cyres Cafe. Real artists and pioneers. These Belgian giants rock the Cyres world.
It’s an extremely Creative Collaboration.
Thrills me to my core.
Expecting a stunning solid structure that still looks fluid. Perfect for a Cafe.
Expecting a spectacle that is mind-blowing.
The Dream is growing.
We are on the boil! Blending in and standing out. Sizzling Hot!
I adore discerning discussions about design.
Design matters.
The atmosphere of The Cafe of Dreams is built in these magical, memorable conversations. Transformational talk takes place.
We wish to create a remarkable reputation for embracing design excellence.
This is the reality experience we created yesterday evening:
Made the decision on timing. Cyres Cafe Antwerp, The Flagship Cafe, is on course to open the weekend of December 17th.
Discussion on the administration of the Department of Cultural Protection (the building is in a very exclusive and prestigious street in the heart of the city): intensive talks and discussion: decisions will be made in 2 weeks.
Decision made on how to curve The Dream Room (oh we so love being in the flow … and, per The Cyres Logo, we are having a ball, so here on The Leading Edge of Creation we adore rounded edges!).
Discussion on the best technology to project light in pioneering ways in The Café and The Dream Room. We will use lighting in the most creative fashion you have ever experienced.
Made the decision to choose African wood for the windows. It is the highest quality, super strong, and, it doesn’t need to be painted (we prefer to be environmentally friendly where we can).
I hope you have enjoyed joining us at this Cyres round table. It is my pleasure, passion, and purpose, to share with you. You are always welcome and listened to. As much as design matters, people are everything at The Cafe of Dreams.
Also appreciating Jan for a magnificent meeting. I’m already looking forward to the follow up next week.
As an extra, you might want to check out Quinze & Milan building another of their art pieces, Uchronia, from Burning Man.
If you have inspirations / ideas for The Cafe, please feel free to join the discussion. It’s Your Cafe. The Cafe of Your Dreams.
