Hello, this is Els, may I share with You the beginnings of my Cyres Story …

Once upon a time, in August 2007, Catherine, my Best Friend, had an idea. A brilliant idea. To create a garden party. Inviting open-minded, universal, loving, creative, Hearts.

Filip, Friend of Catherine’s, asked if it was ok to bring two friends, Cris and Ginette.

The party concept was cool.

Everyone brought food to share.

There were almost 20 people present.

While sipping sumptuous Sangria with fabulous fresh fruit in it, conversation began.

Ginette talked about Cyres Cafe.

I talked about the life changes I was experiencing that Summer. I felt that the time had come to change my work. Seven years previously, I’d created a florists, in the centre of Poperinge, Belgium, called ‘T Sfeerhuisje’. Felt that I had to cut all my old ties and that I would have plenty of opportunities and possibilities to create transformation with much success. Without knowing how my life would go, I experienced trust, a deep confidence. Felt that I was supported.

Chatted with Ginette for thirty minutes and a seed was sown.

Cyres sounded truly Amazing. Extraordinary.

Ginette would remember our contact.

5 months later, Catherine told me about the progress of The Cyres Building in Antwerp. In an email she showed me, from Ginette, there was a question:
Would I be interested to work in Cyres Cafe Antwerp?

The question arrived at the perfect moment.

My shop was sold. I worked for three days a week … for IMBER Water, a company that imports delicious, living water, from source in France, to Belgium, and now served up in Cyres Cafe!

So the days I wasn’t at IMBER Water, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, I could be serving in Cyres Cafe Antwerp.

Catherine, Ginette, and I, all met the next time on January 11th 2008.

One week later, at an evening meeting with Cris and Ginette, I was asked if we could agree terms … of course, Yes!

Cris told me about the interactive connecting experience that is The Cafe of Dreams. He gave me the URL.

The next day I went to the online address … and almost fell off my chair!!!! Immediately I saw abundant appreciation of Paulo Coelho! My favorite author!

WOW! What a totally delicious surprise!

I’ve read all of Paulo Coelho’s books.

The more I searched and read The Cafe of Dreams online, the more I knew this was Home.

So my Cyres Story started with a simple garden gathering, and now, I am writing this sitting next to the Cyres Cafe Antwerp Garden!

Since the opening of The Cafe on the 19th, I’ve met wise, witty, and wonderful people here.

I feel supported.

Most of all, I feel at Home.
