Wednesday June 13th

Basked around the abundant book shelves of Borders, enjoying the artificial breeze. Feeling suitably cooler, I zig-zagged back to the ZaZa Hotel. Arrived 4:30 p.m., with about an hour before Bruce would pick me up.

5:45 p.m. Bruce arrived, a bit later than expected due to traffic. Stepping into his air-conditioned, beautiful black car, I felt everything was in good hands and had fallen perfectly into place in the last hours before the event. With an 8:00 p.m. start, we were on a tight schedule now.

It was about a mile’s drive from my hotel to the hotel where Joe Dispenza was staying.

When we arrived at Dr Joe’s hotel, I waited in the car, while Bruce went to Reception to let him know that we’d arrived.

Five minutes later, Bruce and Joe came out of the hotel.

I’d remembered Joe quite well because I’d experienced a two day training with him about two years previously.

The half hour drive to Unity Church Dallas was full of enjoyable conversation. Joe was having a busy month. He’d planned on flying in for one day, so had arrived that afternoon and would be flying again the next day to another lecture in Miami. I asked him questions about his new book, ‘Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind’. Joe said he’s writing another book that goes deeper into the practical steps of how to evolve your brain. He plans to complete it this year. One thing that Joe feels he doesn’t have enough of is, time. He’s decided that seven hours of sleep is too much and so he just needs to reconfigure his brain to bring it closer to 4 or 5 hours sleep a day.

We also discussed new innovative technology that is about to break through into many levels of society. Joe has come across a new electric car with a radius of 800 km. For 2 people. A beautiful design, streamlined like a Porche. 0 to 100 km in 4 seconds. The waiting list is more than a year. The cost is about $75,000.

We also discussed the possibililty of him attending the opening of Cyres Cafe Antwerp in October/November.

We arrived at Unity Church Dallas. Dr Joe and I got out, and Bruce went to park the car.

Unity Church Dallas is not what you might expect a church to look and feel like. It felt like a workshop centre.

Upon entering the church, I felt a busy crew and noticed all the people lining up for the event.

The first person I met was Dr Todd Collier, the Executive Director of Programs for the Memnosyne Foundation. Delightful.

Then Joe and I went to meet the sound engineer.

At the end of a hallway, I saw ‘The Memnosyne Foundation presents: The Cyres Speakers Series’. It felt good to see Cyres. It was a home coming feeling. I felt very proud of how far Cyres has come.

Final directions were given on the lighting that was to be used, and how we would present the introduction of Cyres Café and the Memnosyne Foundation and then Dr Joe.

Coming out of the sound check booth, I meet Alain, Personal Assistant of the Memnosyne Foundation. Wonderful guy.

I was also thrilled to meet Coke Buchanan, Executive Director of the Foundation. We discussed how all the pieces would come together and when Bruce would come on stage to moderate between segments.

I met local people that I’ve been communicating with and was delighted to put faces to names and voices. As we say in The Cafe of Dreams, people are everything.

Some photographs were taken. Fun, I thought, because this is a memorable experience.

7:10 p.m. Todd, Coke, and I, went on stage to introduce the event.

Then I was in the spotlight, to talk about Cyres Café and how it beautifully blends with the Memnosyne Foundation …
