This lovely letter landed on the doorstep of The Cafe, via Zaadz:
Co-creation Cafe!
Great idea. There are quite a few good ideas and projects here on Zaadz, and it is a particularly interesting time to be around, despite what some folk might think.
I just got a sense to interrupt what I was doing to take a look in at Zaadz and found my attention drawn to your logo / details.
Within two weeks I will take delivery of the first production run of a new product I am about to launch on the market. As part of this process I am committed to sending complimentary sets to whoever shows up in the meantime. Seems like you just did!
I have no idea where you are likely to place your feet in the next few weeks or so - as you seem to be in three places at once - that’s mighty impressive multi-tasking.
This product might well be something that is of use in your cafe’s as they progress across the globe. Aternatively, it might just simply be useful. What follows is a brief description of, and some peoples reactions to, this (at present) mysterious thing I am harping on about:
Basically this product consists of a set of 81 cards designed specifically to engage logic, emotion and intuition - mind heart and soul. They are suitable for use by individuals or groups, create some very interesting conversations and their practical application is only limited by the willingness of the users to experiment. One grandmother even used them to decide whether to buy a washing machine, which machine to buy, and how to get it installed! Must be one of the most unlikely (and practical) uses so far.
Here are a few comments received from people who recently used them in a couple of meetings I held:
This product has the power to enable you to break free from the constraints of linear, logical thought. I was deeply impressed with the way it enabled me to explore complex problems and feelings in considerable depth.
Ian Fleming, Coach and Management Development Consultant
In the space of five minutes, this product told me what was really important to me in my life, and what I had to do. That’s fast!
Carole Kirk, Career Coach.
Made me address what was staring me in the face
Maccine Hall, Partner, Designs Unique
“The best tools for change are simple, elegant and subtle and those three words aptly sum up these cards. I have used them on 5 occasions now and each time the results have been astonishing, helping to shift thinking in profound ways. Words can’t describe how effective this tool really is. You simply have to try it for yourself to understand, feel and know its power.”
Jeni Mumford, author of Life Coaching for Dummies
This tool raised a number of issues for me and allowed me to connect with myself at a very deep level
Lisa Read, Life Coach
Thought provoking and fun to use. Positive experience. Helped me consider my current issues in a different light - new perspectives and a calming experience.
Shirley Simpson, B.Sc. (Psychology), CIPD, CMI Coaching.
Of course the cards do not tell anyone anything - they simply stimulate self awareness / observation, intuition and sensing.
If you would like a set - let me have a mailing address to which I can send one. You can also see my profile on Zaadz if you wanted a bit of background on this strange fellow who has suddenly appeared uninvited!
All the best,
Cheers
Pete

Also, I smiled at god’s grace, how sweet the synchronicity, when I read your profile. For this is part of an email I wrote about Amazing Grace a few weeks ago:
I have a sweet little story for you, about connecting the dots through the grid…
Since being the size of a chanter, I’ve magically heard the pipes play Amazing Grace, and as I grew to know the meaning of grace, it became, and still is, one of my favourite words. I was born in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, and lived there until I left school. My parents still live there. Since I was a little girl, and later, from the age of 11, every school day, I passed a memorial, called the Clarkson Memorial. Thomas Clarkson, the anti-slavery campaigner, was from Wisbech and was educated at Wisbech Grammar School, where I was educated. Every day I looked at that statue and I felt “hope” and “freedom”, as I feel now listening to Amazing Grace. One of the four sides of the memorial represents William Wilberforce. In January this year, I saw a movie trailer, telling the story of William Wilberforce. A man who led a movement that changed the world. It is also the story of a man who wrote a song that has changed the world. The movie, ‘Amazing Grace’. Listen, with passion, to the end of the

Looking forward to the gift from The Gift.
In our own ways, and together in Co-operation and Co-Creation, we are changing the world, for the highest good of all.
All The Best as you turn this corner and find more of who you really are.
in appreciation, respect, freedom and joy,
Jane

Re: Co-creation Cafe!
Consider it done. I take delivery sometime during week commencing 23rd July. What a great week that will be because as you say there’s a very personal story behind the evolution of this product (one of many products - this just happens to be the first to go to manufacture)
I am more than happy to write a bit about the background of how and why it came about.
Incidentally, today is day 69 of a diary I have been keeping of “The First 100 days to Deliberate Success - a glimpse at the power of intention”. I started this shortly after I decided it was now time this product was manufactured and had already committed to employ consultants at a cost of £7000 even though the money was not available, and as a family we were looking down a huge financial black hole. I guess by the time I get to day 100 the financial and other success will be more than obvious!
I have heard my story before, so what will really interest me is to hear your reaction to what you discover.
As for synchronicity - with it’s ‘amazing grace’ it all ways make me laugh!
And that’s something I should do more often!
Pete
