The cloud and the dune La nube e la duna

“Everyone knows that the lives of clouds are very active, but very short,” writes Bruno Ferrero. "Tutti sanno che la vita di nubi sono molto attivi, ma molto breve", scrive Bruno Ferrero. And that brings us to another story: E che ci porta a un'altra storia:
A young cloud was born in the middle of a great storm in the Mediterranean Sea. Un giovane nube è nato in mezzo a una grande tempesta nel Mar Mediterraneo. But it hardly had time to grow there; a strong wind pushed all the clouds towards Africa. Ma è quasi avuto il tempo di crescere; un forte vento ha spinto tutte le nubi verso l'Africa.
As soon as they arrived on the continent, the climate changed: a warm sun shone in the sky, and down below the golden sand of the Sahara desert spread into the distance. But the young cloud, a rebel by nature, did not obey; little by little, it lowered its altitude, until it was able to float on a gentle, generous breeze down near the golden sands. Well- in the interest of “time management” and an impending tornado (Yep, we get them here in North Carolina!) I gotta make this quick. Ben nell 'interesse di "gestione del tempo" e di un imminente tornado (Yep, abbiamo qui in North Carolina!) I gotta fare di questo rapido. BUT, as yet again, I am compelled to type, I shall. Ma, come ancora una volta, mi trovo costretto a tipo, mi. My day today has been quite curious- as I really seem to have accomplished practically nothing tangible- except for a huge pan of lasagna that is cooling off on my kitchen counter. Il mio giorno di oggi è stato piuttosto curioso-come ho veramente sembrano aver realizzato praticamente nulla di tangibile-fatta eccezione per una grande padella di lasagne che è di riflessione per il mio contatore cucina.

Ho cercato di toccare, ma? Nope- I have not managed to “capture tangible evidence” of their existence, as I was so fortunate to have done when I managed to photograph “my” blind sparrow. Of course, I used to ask other individuals if THEY could see them- and none of them were able to. Some people accused me of fabricating, others were convinced I had “something wrong with me”; and hustled me off to many different doctors. It IS our “human nature” to want to be able to discover if others have the same experiences, perhaps because they are so wondrous that one simply wants to know if other people are “noticing” the same things. As soon as he arrived in Marrakech, the missionary decided that he would spend each morning in the desert which lay beyond the town. Another magical monday in the light cafe … Un altro magico lunedi alla luce cafè…

The Cafe is closed to the public on Mondays (open for private events), however it doesn’t mean that much co-creating isn’t happening! Today Dave Van Den Bruel of Quinze & Milan (Cyres Cafe interior designers) is sitting here in The Cafe with me. Dave’s working on aligning the ‘invisible’ grid that goes on The Cafe walls, so that all the movies we play in the round, line up perfectly with the wall and ceiling space.
