The cloud and the dune La nube y la duna

“Everyone knows that the lives of clouds are very active, but very short,” writes Bruno Ferrero. "Todo el mundo sabe que la vida de las nubes son muy activos, pero muy corto", escribe Bruno Ferrero. And that brings us to another story: Y eso nos lleva a otra historia:
A young cloud was born in the middle of a great storm in the Mediterranean Sea. Una joven nube nació en medio de una gran tormenta en el Mar Mediterráneo. But it hardly had time to grow there; a strong wind pushed all the clouds towards Africa. Sin embargo, apenas ha tenido tiempo de crecer allí, un fuerte viento empuja las nubes todo hacia África.
As soon as they arrived on the continent, the climate changed: a warm sun shone in the sky, and down below the golden sand of the Sahara desert spread into the distance. But the young cloud, a rebel by nature, did not obey; little by little, it lowered its altitude, until it was able to float on a gentle, generous breeze down near the golden sands. Gold Sparkles.. Gold chispas .. “Uh Oh- tornado coming!”.. "Uh-Oh tornado llegando!" .. and other ponderings.. ponderings y otros ..

Well- in the interest of “time management” and an impending tornado (Yep, we get them here in North Carolina!) I gotta make this quick. - Bueno, en interés de "la gestión del tiempo" y una inminente tornado (Sí, tenemos aquí en Carolina del Norte!) I gotta hacer este rápido. BUT, as yet again, I am compelled to type, I shall. Sin embargo, como una vez más, me veo obligado a escribir, me referiré. My day today has been quite curious- as I really seem to have accomplished practically nothing tangible- except for a huge pan of lasagna that is cooling off on my kitchen counter. Mi día de hoy ha sido bastante curioso-como me parece haber logrado prácticamente nada tangible-con excepción de un enorme pan de lasaña que es de reflexión en mi cocina.

This morning, I answered a knocking at my door- and it was one of the kids from my program. Esta mañana, me respondieron a un llamando a mi puerta y era uno de los chicos de mi programa. He had several of the books I had lent him.. Había varios de los libros que le había prestado .. and tears in his eyes. y lágrimas en los ojos. Of course, I asked him what was wrong, and he told me, “I have to move away today, and I will never be able to come back here.”. I tried to encourage him to keep one of the books, but he stated that he could not bring “anything big” with him. I found his statement to be quite sad, especially since the book was NOT the size of a toaster oven. Anyway. De todos modos. I thought I’d share YET another interestingly “odd quirk” I have, with you, dear reader(s)- as you’ve been so wonderfully supportive. I am hoping that my “confessions of a curious being” are accepted in the manner in which I am intending to present them. No tengo ni idea-me acaba de "Happy-Ser-Me". I have, every since I can remember (probably around the age of two) had a curious “sight thing”. I have been checked by numerous neurologists, optometrists- AND a LOT of “negativists”. He sido verificada por numerosos neurólogos, optometristas-y un montón de "negativists". Some people accused me of fabricating, others were convinced I had “something wrong with me”; and hustled me off to many different doctors. All this truly means is that EACH of us processes information that we receive from the world around us a bit differently. It IS our “human nature” to want to be able to discover if others have the same experiences, perhaps because they are so wondrous that one simply wants to know if other people are “noticing” the same things. Es nuestra "naturaleza humana" a querer ser capaces de descubrir si los demás tienen las mismas experiencias, quizá porque son tan maravillosas que uno simplemente quiere saber si otras personas están "notando" las mismas cosas. It is our very nature to want to support other individuals, and to help them grow “into” whoever they are choosing to.. As I scamper around, actively living my “life’s purpose” of giving something that I AM able to give to others, please be knowing that those “Happy Sparkle Thoughts” that I am sending to you.. As soon as he arrived in Marrakech, the missionary decided that he would spend each morning in the desert which lay beyond the town. The Cafe is closed to the public on Mondays (open for private events), however it doesn’t mean that much co-creating isn’t happening! Today Dave Van Den Bruel of Quinze & Milan (Cyres Cafe interior designers) is sitting here in The Cafe with me. Dave’s working on aligning the ‘invisible’ grid that goes on The Cafe walls, so that all the movies we play in the round, line up perfectly with the wall and ceiling space.
