Perfect Symetry

Dear Thoughtful Sue.

This morning, as you can see, my mind was on numerical patterns. Then, ‘by coincidence’, I received this from Sue!

Oh- I am just loving the perfect symmetry in the numerical representation of this exact day. 02-28-2008. It just LOOKS so neat! *LOL* Anyway. I am peeking in and dropping off a heap of “Happy Sparkle Thoughts” of compassion, inspiration, hope, and appreciation. Oh- and I wanted to say Thank you again for the gift of that “Hear the Tree?” video. QUITE touching.

Well spotted, Sue. Fun! Talk about notice what you are noticing. It feels good to notice This Day. Yes the numbers look so neat! I love patterns and symbology. And Laughing Out Loud!

Thanks for peeking in. Perfect!

I have happily hung your heap of Happy Sparkle Thoughts in the hallway. Looks like a glitter ball. Just add glittery music. Oh, we already did that! Put on your sparkle and be here virtually. Let’s dance in the joy of living! Breathing in compassion, inspiration, hope, and appreciation. And more!

If you didn’t see the “Hear the Tree?” video Sue is referring to, here yesterday, spotted by me and installed in The Cafe of Dreams, then I’ll add it again now, for your convenience and inspiration:

Sue also sent today a glittery picture called ‘blue heart’. Again, perfect.
A white light heart of sparkle, in a blue sky of moving sparkle and stars. Plus a half moon. And, a shooting star through the centre of the heart. Sue! So Cyres. Blue Heart. Quite touching. Did you read before how much I adore sky gazing? And about the sky-light I watch the moon and stars through.

Feel the glitter of life today

Cyres Cafe Peace City … building evolution

Popularity: 15% [?]

Sensational CAnn has been living/building Cyres Cafe Peace City since the 14th non-stop. The 3-D images she sends me, another brilliant five today, with the words ‘Mmmmm and now, more.’, are really jaw-dropping.

What would you like to see here?

We’d love your suggestions.

The Quest for The Perfect Quiche

Popularity: 19% [?]

We’re often experimenting with flavours, finding the best combinations. This week, much focus on Quiche creativity. You may have read about the previous taste-test. Did it open your virtual taste buds?

For lunch love today, more quiche taste-tests in The Quest for The Perfect Quiche. Aaahh it’s a demanding job, but somebody has to do it!

Two quiches were tested and totally tasted. Both organic. One was tomato, onion, and ham. The other, mushroom and chicory.

Verdict: Fresh. Flavourful. Filling. Fabulous.

Great additions to our menu item, ‘Quiche van de week’.

Do you have a great quiche recipe?

The smell of change is always in the air

One building from Cyres Cafe Antwerp, there is a beautiful bakery. ‘Bakery’, that’s my (English) word for it. It is signed, ‘Patisserie’ (cakes, breads, bigger things, etc) ‘Confiserie’ (chocolates, candy, little things, etc).

Also on its sign, is written, ‘1912′… it’s been in the hands of a family of bakers, through generations … and it closes on Sunday!

Have heard on the grapevine that it will be replaced by a clothes retailer, a restaurant, an estate agent - ?

The building of bakery beauty will be missed. Not only because of the eye-popping yumminess of the window. I am always inspired to pause and ponder the delights on display. Not only because they make the most remarkable rice cakes (I’m not talking about the ‘rice cakes’ that people eat when on a diet, for example … do you know the white ones I mean?). Because, in the mornings, when we open the back door that leads from The Cyres Kitchen to The Garden, we receive a delightfully delicious waft of bakery~ness and that flavoursome smell wafts in wonderful waves into The Cafe, as well as my nostrils. As the flavour floats fragrantly in the air, filling the space, it whets my appetite for more. Mmm appreciation. I stand in The Gratitude Garden, basking in the baking a~bun~dance, drinking Life in deeply, as well as a compelling cup of Cyres Coffee. Heaven on earth!

What is your sense of smell appreciating today?

BrEathe in the positive energies

Popularity: 13% [?]

Yesterday sweet Sue sent these shiney words (most welcome):

Hello, hello dear Cyres Caring Cafe! *sigh* I am just taking a moment to breathe in the positive energies, and appreciate and embrace the uniqueness of individuals who work so diligently to bring hope, love, and compassion to this universe. Ooohhh.. AND to drop off a bucket of “Happy Sparkle Thoughts”! : )

And the gleaming bucket that Sue gifted the Cyres Caring Cafe is golden! I can see my reflection in it! This morning, as I gave each pair of bamboo stems in The Cyres Garden, their daily bucket of water and caring, I imagined that I was pouring golden light into the ground.

See what a difference you make, Sue. Giving the ground in this glorious gratitude garden, golden light. Daily. Boosting bamboo. Boosting me. Boosting Life.

*sigh*

And for Sue, CAnn, Victoria, and All interested in the ‘haircuts’ of the trees in LEOPOLD DE WAELSTRAAT, a (green) update:

The 13 trees on the opposite side of the street to Cyres Cafe have all had a healthy haircut … meaning, they look rather bald and bare! 13 transformed trunks. Tall and trimmed. Slender and stream-lined.

The two men who did the shaving, the purposeful pruning, are nowhere to be seen today, so maybe the trees on this side of the street will stay as they are.

I will, as ever, keep you updated.
Through the seasons, together, we will notice what we are noticing.
I welcome more conversation about trees.

Like a child

The warrior of the light behaves like a child.
People are shocked. They forget that each one of us must have fun, play, be a little irreverent, ask importune and immature questions, and say foolish things that we ourselves don’t even believe.
People are outraged: “Is that the spiritual path? He is simply not mature! He’s more like a child.”
The warrior is proud of this comment, because he knows that the logical consequence of maturity is decay. Thus in nature, so it is in life.
And he preserves his innocence and joy, without ever losing sight of his

Seeking discord

The devil was walking along a path between two fields, where workers picked grapes.
“I’ll plant a little of that which humans like best: to be right in what they say,” he thought.
He put on a hat, one half of which was green, and the other yellow.
- Follow me to find some treasure! - he shouted to the laborers. Then he hid behind a tree.
The workers ran to the path.
- Let’s follow the man in the green hat - said the men from the field on the right.
- You’re trying to fool us: we must follow a man in a yellow hat - shouted the men from the field on the left.
The discussion became more and more heated. Half an hour later, the workers had forgotten the treasure, and were killing each other with scythes - to see who was right about the color of the hat.

Marble, Mosaic, Mirrored Hallway

Further to yesterday’s description of the fabulous foyer …

Step inside The Cafe of Dreams and you’re facing a gleaming glass wall. Look up and you’ll see a light fitting, a small ball hanging from the ceiling by a black chord. The ball is a mirror, with the bottom cut out for the light to shine from. At the ceiling, the chord goes into a mirrored circular base.

This fun light fitting feels futuristic. I love that it mirrors the space in 360 degrees of reflection.

Two more identical light fittings are on the other side of the glass wall, placed at 45 degrees to each other. Hovering.

So it’s as if three orbs are floating in the foyer. Lighting the way. Brightly. Silver balls containing golden light.

Entrance to Endless Possibilities

To expand more (love expansion) on yesterday’s ‘Presenting Cyres Cafe Antwerp’ … as people have requested more delicious details …

The double entrance doors to The Cyres Building really are magnificent. The whole design is in four segments. Two of the segments being the two sides that are actually the doors. I said yesterday that the design is mainly made up of swirls, metal, against patterned glass panels, well, most of the swirls in the two doors are ‘C’s, up the outside of each door. In from them are the two biggest ‘C’s, one on each side, facing each other, standing for ‘Cyres Cafe’. And this, all before we arrived, before we found our perfect place. Or did it find us?!
