Curiouser and Curiouser …
I had a hair trim today, much shorter than usual.
It is, in fact, very short.
I felt I wanted something decorative to bridge the gap between hair and shoulders!
So, I bought myself little silver earrings, a delicate silver butterfly, from which drop two long dangling silver threads!! People close to my Daughter call her “Butterfly” and I felt her presence as I gave myself this present.
How good do I feel! Small price for Feel Good Factor.
A pair of butterflies flitted in to my life and I looked in the mirror and said, “Yes, that looks good, and I feel good.”
When you look in the mirror, keep watch for the butterflies, and you may find yourself smiling back.
May love and light flit in to your life frequently and forever … Jane’s Mum
* Mum emailed this in today without having yet seen the recent stories here of haircuts and butterflies!! She’s such a Star. *
Hello, this is Els, may I share with You the beginnings of my Cyres Story …
Once upon a time, in August 2007, Catherine, my Best Friend, had an idea. A brilliant idea. To create a garden party. Inviting open-minded, universal, loving, creative, Hearts.
Filip, Friend of Catherine’s, asked if it was ok to bring two friends, Cris and Ginette.
The party concept was cool.
Everyone brought food to share.
There were almost 20 people present.
While sipping sumptuous Sangria with fabulous fresh fruit in it, conversation began.
Ginette talked about Cyres Cafe.
I talked about the life changes I was experiencing that Summer. I felt that the time had come to change my work. Seven years previously, I’d created a florists, in the centre of Poperinge, Belgium, called ‘T Sfeerhuisje’. Felt that I had to cut all my old ties and that I would have plenty of opportunities and possibilities to create transformation with much success. Without knowing how my life would go, I experienced trust, a deep confidence. Felt that I was supported.
Chatted with Ginette for thirty minutes and a seed was sown.
Cyres sounded truly Amazing. Extraordinary.

“Hitler may have lost the war on the battlefield, but in the end he gained something,” says M. Halter. “For in the 20th century man created the concentration camp and revived torture, and taught his fellow men that it is possible to turn a blind eye to the misfortune of others.”
Perhaps he is right: there are homeless children, innocent men in prison, lonely old people, drunks in the gutters, madmen in power.
But perhaps he is not right at all: there are warriors of the light.
And warriors of light never accept that which is unacceptable.

Talking of art, Sue sent Cyres another style of art this morning … Latte Art.
Sue, what you don’t know, until you read this, is, I noticed this photograph on your space yesterday and thought, oh wouldn’t it be nice to have that in Cyres Cafe space … so appropriate, so Cyres … this morning, thanks to you being so tuned in, I received my wish!
Thank you as well, Sue, for the light words that you landed on CyresSpace:
Oooohhh- I am JUST so very, very excited! : ) My friend Andrea sent me a gorgeous photograph because she is knowing how much I love “butterflies and coffee”- and I INSTANTLY thought.. “Oh, this is just so beautiful! I bet someone at the CYRES Cafe is learning how to do this, perhaps THEY will make them to serve the kind visitors.”. The photograph was taken in Toronto, Canada. Sooo.. with TONS of “Happy Sparkle Thoughts” of love, hope, positive energies.. and a sprinkle of humility added with the cinnamon.. here it is!
Yes, it is a Cyres Intention to learn Latte Art and serve it with love to our kind Visitors.
Today, inspired by You, I am sprinkling my humility added with the chocolate tapped in to the topping of Cappucino!
Cheers!
Cyres Cafe Antwerp regular Visitor, and more than a Visitor, Vibrant Victoria, was here yesterday evening. Yay! We enjoy incredibly exciting and compelling discussions and yesterday, as part of a discussion about building and spaces, we both re-visited virtually Damanhur (Victoria is considering a trip there in April).
CAnn, further to the highlighting of Auroville to add to the inspiration around Cyres Cafe Peace City, check out the art~work here in Damanhur. Imagine attracting such colourful creatives!
Having just now read and re-read, and yes, re-read, Pete Koerner’s response to the most recent question that came to me (they really do come out of the blue), it is clear to me that his reply, his answering, is so worthy of featuring again, as it is a great stimulator of thought and discussion, as we LOVE to experience in Cyres Cafe. Thank You, Pete, *hug* for this:
