One of the most well-known facts about New Year’s resolutions is that people simply don’t stick with them and, as a result, they don’t get that which they resolved to get. What’s the point in making a resolution you know won’t last? The point of all resolutions — like the point of all prayers — is to “formalize” desires in order to increase our chances of experiencing them in our reality.

Of course, this discussion has been going on for thousands of years; and the new consensus matches the old — there really is no “connection” — the mind and body are the same. The body is simply the visible repository for those things we hold in our mind; the body is the physical representation, or reflection of, the mind.

Enjoyed a conversation with Douglas Vermeeren yesterday. He’s the Creator of The Opus movie, that we talk about endlessly, and enthusiastically, around here!
The movie shoot is complete now. Doug is confident that when people see what he is seeing in the rough cuts of The Opus that people will get excited.
I had to reply, this is a Douglas Vermeeren project, we’re already Excited!!!
This is going to be a wonderful film.

On earmarked books
I do not always choose the books that I should read. They choose me, they call me from the bookshelf in a bookstore, often I buy them without knowing the reason; but every one of them always leaves something important. Recently I opened some volumes of my small library at random, and below I copy some earmarked extracts.
